After breakfast transfer to Dar Airport (Julias Nyerere) for your flight to Zanzibar (11:00-11:20am, upon arrival meet and greet with our representative who will drive you to your accommodation in Stone Town. Overnight at your hotel

Hotel – Zanzibar Airport – Ruaha

To be transferred to Zanzibar Airport in time for your morning flight to Ruaha National Park (0930-1255pm meet, greet and drive to the Camp for hot Lunch. Relax at the camp. Afternoon, proceed with game drives.

Ruaha has some of the highest density of animals in the area hence excellent game viewing opportunities.

Day 7

Game Drive in Ruaha National Park (Ruaha Safari)

After breakfast, enjoy a full day of exploring Ruaha National Park by Landcruiser.

Ruaha National Park is a vast area with many areas visited infrequently, allowing visitors a glimpse of wilderness rarely seen by other tourists.

The river area features large numbers of hippo and crocodile and attracts lion, leopard, hunting dogs, waterbuck, impala, giraffe, warthog and eland. Grants gazelle, ostrich and cheetah may be seen in the plains.

The park is also a bird-watcher’s paradise with over 430 species. The best time for bird-watchers and flower-seekers is the wet season from January to April, and the best time for the predator and large mammals-seeking visitor is the dry season between May and December.

Ruaha National Park can be visited all year long. A fine network of game-viewing roads follows the Great Ruaha and its seasonal tributaries, where, during the dry season, impala, waterbuck and other antelopes risk their life for a sip of life sustaining water – and the risk is considerable – not only from the prides of 20-plus lion that lord over the savannah, but also from the cheetahs that stalk the open grassland and the leopards that lurk in tangled riverine thickets.

Ruaha National Park – Fly to Selous

After breakfast/mid-morning, transfer to Msembe airstrip for your flight to Selous (depart 0945am -11:30 /1315– Arrive 1500pm meet, greet and drive to the Camp for hot Lunch. Relax at the camp. Afternoon, proceed for a boat safari along River Rufiji

Day 9

Full day in Selous Game Reserve

After breakfast, spend a full day in the Selous Game Reserve exploring the reserve by Landcruiser.

The Selous Game Reserve is the largest in Africa, covering 54,600 square kilometers. The reserve gets its name from the hunter and explorer Frederick Courtney Selous. He was killed here during World War 1. Selous is famous for elephants. Other species commonly seen are lions, wild dogs, buffaloes, bushbuck, impalas, elands, baboons, zebras and greater kudus. It was originally set aside as a hunting area where animals are abundant but more shy than the Northern Parks. Excursions by 4×4 vehicle will permit you to have good photographic opportunities and the chance to explore different sections of this vast park.

Encounter hippos and crocodiles in good numbers and land based animals coming to the water’s edge. Some 350 bird species have been recorded in the Selous Game Reserve. These are typical of miombo woodlands, and the bird life supported by Rufiji swamplands is of particular interest.

Selous has high concentrations of game and relatively few tourists.
Walking safaris(optional) offer a good chance of seeing giraffe, zebra, elephant, and good birding – optional.

Selous Game Reserve – Dar – Arusha

After breakfast, transfer to Mtemere airstrip for a 07:00am flight – Arrive Dar Airport 08:30am – 10:00am Get on another flight to Arusha -1215pm –Upon arrival ,Our driver will be at the Airport to pick you up and transfer to your accommodation.

Arusha – Tarangire (2 – 2.5 hrs. drive)

Enjoy an early start to the day as your guide collects you from Arusha and takes you to Tarangire National Park to begin your safari adventure

The lesser-known Tarangire National Park receives a fraction of the Serengeti’s visitors and is home to some of Tanzania’s best wildlife, including a 300-strong herd of elephants, as well as wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, eland and buffalo

Enjoy a freshly made picnic on the open plains of the park against a backdrop of thousand-year-old baobabs

After an exciting day scouring the bush, your guide drops you off at your accommodation in Tarangire in time for a gourmet dinner

As the African night comes alive, set yourself out on a late-night safari window view, you may be lucky to see nocturnal animals – including hyenas, leopards, genet, bush babies, hippos and nightjars

Day 12

Tarangire – Manyara (1.5 hr. drive)

After a hearty breakfast, your guide collects you and drives you to Lake Manyara for 3-4 hrs. of game viewing

While Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania’s smaller parks, its diverse vegetation ranging from savannah to marsh and evergreen forest, supports one of the highest biomass densities of large mammals in the world. If you are lucky you my get to see some large families of elephants, millions of flamingos, and even tree-climbing lions

Be sure to keep a watchful eye out for the baboons in this park which live in troops of up to 200 members

Extra activity may be offered here where you will enjoy a trip to the local farming village of Mto Wa Mbu Village and learn about the melting pot of cultures found here. Home to over 120 different tribes from across Tanzania.

Late afternoon visit the Mto Wa Mbu village for a great cultural experience with an experienced, English speaking guide who grew up in the village! Visit local farms, schools, a kindergarten, local homes, the market and milling machines.

Day 13

Ngorongoro Crater (1 hr. Drive)

Wake up early to panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley wall. After breakfast, head off for a day trip to explore the many fascinating species that are protected within the Ngorongoro rim.

Here, we can see the Big Five in high concentration against the stunning backdrop of the crater walls.

Over 30,000 animals live within this enormous natural bowl, the most densely packed concentration of wildlife in Africa. Animals that can be seen are wildebeest, elephant, zebras, buffalos, lion, dik-dik , and warthog. On the lakeside there are pelicans, hippos, ibis and flamingo, just to mention a few.You will enjoy a 6 hr. game drive.

Day 14

Ngorongoro Highlands – Central Serengeti (3–4 hrs.)

It’s an early start, as we depart the Lodge and make our way to the famous Serengeti. It is a park that covers an area of approximately 14,763sq.km. Enjoy a spectacular afternoon game drive and begin to track the wild species in this national park named after its beauty. If you are a wildlife movie fanatic, this famous national park is mentioned in most world movies and documentaries like the national geographic, “Serengeti shall never die”. The word ‘Serengeti’ means endless plain. It’s the oldest and most popular national park famed for its annual migration with more than 1.5 million wildebeest, half a million Thomson’s gazelle, and a quarter of a million zebra.

The greatest concentration of plains animals in Africa comes from the Serengeti. En-route to the Serengeti you will enjoy amazing views of the natural ecosystem. It is a great day!

Enjoy the game viewing till evening. Track the foot prints and showing of animals that can be seen such as impalas, zebra, and grant gazelle. While en-routing, you may like to stop and take pictures at a Masai village for an hour.

After an exciting day exploring the heart of the Serengeti proceed with a game drive towards your accommodation inside the National Park where you will enjoy a gourmet dinner and an early night.

Day 15

Serengeti (Full day – 6 / 8 hrs. of game viewing)

Full day of game viewing in Serengeti (you may either carry picnic lunch or return to the lodge for a hot meal).

The park is famous for its wealth of leopard, lions as well as the endangered black rhino. It also provides a protected breeding ground for the vulnerable cheetah. Over 500 varieties of birds to 100 different types of dung beetle add to this complex ecosystem. Much can be seen in these two full days.

You may enjoy extra activities such as viewing the Serengeti wildlife from the air as you ride the balloon in the middle of Serengeti, ending in a champagne breakfast.

(Early morning game drive starts at 06:00am and late evening game viewing ends at 06:00pm/ (Hot Air Balloon takes about 45minutes – 1 hr. at extra cost– Launching takes place very early in the morning)

Day 16

Central Serengeti – Northern Serengeti (3 hrs. drive)

It’s an early start to the day, as we head out for a full day game viewing in search of the migration action!

Located on the border between Tanzania and Kenya, the Mara River is one of the most treacherous points of the migration. With millions of clattering hooves, crashing waters and predators waiting on the other side, this is the best place where you may be lucky to witness the greatest show on earth.

Enjoy a full day along the River, exploring the northern and southern banks, watching the build of energy among the migrating herds, the first tentative crossings, until the final amazing crossing of the river.

The precise timing of the Serengeti wildebeest migration is entirely dependent upon the rainfall patterns each year and so sightings are not guaranteed. However, with the help of our expert guides, July to October are when you’ll have the best chance of catching the migration action.

Enjoy excellent views of the southern Masai Mara plains towards the north and beautiful sunsets towards the west.

After an eventful and emotional day, you are driven back to your accommodation inside the national park to enjoy a relaxing evening under the starry night sky.

Full Day in Northern Serengeti

It will be another busy day in the Northern Serengeti for early, mid-morning, and afternoon game drives. Before leaving, enjoy a morning game drive and one more chance to catch a glimpse of the migrating herds, and the dangers and challenges they face each year in their battle for survival.

Keep alert for the giant Nile crocodile waiting patiently in the water to catch easy prey. After such a thrilling day your guide will transfer you for dinner and overnight

Northern Serengeti – Arusha Airport – Hotel

After breakfast en-route game drive as you drive to Kogatende Airstrip in time for your mid-morning flight to Arusha (depart 1015am-1220pm, upon arrival your driver will take you to your accommodation,Dinner and overnight

Free Day In Arusha

On this day you will have the opportunity to do several activities in Arusha town such as visiting some local markets, shopping in town, visiting the cultural heritage site, and/or a town tour and Coffee tour.

A Coffee tour can be conducted in the morning and afternoon. Feel free to choose which time is suitable for you. At the farm you can walk through the coffee plantation and your guide will explain how coffee is grown and processed from nursery to harvesting. This is an interactive session where the guests get to ask as many questions as possible and get answered to their satisfaction.

At the end, an excellent barista will display his skills on how to make an espresso or an artistic cappuccino.

Hotel –Kilimanjaro International Airport (45 minutes -1 hr.)
