Lemala lodges and luxury camps

The lodge boasts zero emission and fuel usage, except in emergencies, and incorporates ethical and sustainable measures throughout.

Reverse osmosis (RO) desalination plants were installed in all the Lemala tented lodges to eliminate the use of plastic water bottles.

The properties don’t produce any plastic and don’t have any plastic, “The only plastic that comes in with other vehicles. We have a big bucket; we name and shame them. Then we turn the bottles into desks for our school projects.”

From ensuring main area and bedroom floors are made from composite decking to using recycled scrap metal steel to build 30% of the retreat’s steel structures, Lemala’s dedication to sustainability will enable a better future for the locals

Giving back to the communities, the wildlife, the environment- (supporting nearby Villages: by way of employment and cultural tourism, supporting schools to share the right for an education, supporting an orphanage, a school for the disabled and various conservation projects.

The lodges and luxury camps run by Asilia, Sanctuary and Lemala luxury camps use refillable water bottles, they are carbon neutral and support local communities in their surroundings. These camps and lodges are highly recommended by Sassabi in our website.
